Recap: 14th and 15th September - Final Pre-season Games

Saturday Recap:

The U14s kicked off the weekend in style with a 61-48 victory over Black Country Steelers. Jamaar C led the way with 14 points, Ilir M added 10, and Zach S contributed 8 points.

The U16s followed up with an impressive 78-44 win against the Black Country Steelers U17s. Adian A put up 14 points, with Ayrton scoring 13, and Alfie M finishing with 11.

Our Three Spires Sixth Academy Team 2 faced a challenging game against Black Country Steelers, ending in a 96-34 loss. Top scorers were Manny D with 10 points, Patrick A with 5 points, and Markmilla M, Jordan O, and Rio M, each scoring 4 points.

Sunday Recap:

The U18s had a phenomenal run, going undefeated with 4 wins to capture the YBL x West Midlands Police Women’s Tournament title. Standout performances came from England Talent Programme Selectee Emmanuela O, England U14s member Denaya-Jade A, and new addition Rhianna S. The ladies won each game by an average of 12 points.

Later in the day, the Academy Team 1/U18 Boys recorded 3 wins and 1 loss, falling just short in the finals against Bromsgrove School. After overcoming a 2-15 deficit in the first quarter, they tied the game and even led in the fourth quarter. However, Bromsgrove pulled ahead in the final 20 seconds to secure a narrow win. Notable performances came from Kurmani PB, Jael I, and Justin E.
